Omnipotent God, this is the day which you have made, we will rejoice and be glad in it. We are so grateful to know that you will never leave us nor will you forsake us. We trust and depend upon you for strength, security and peace of mind. Lord, we humbly intercede today on behalf of grieving families all over the world. Give hope to those in despair; peace where there is chaos and confusion; comfort to the motherless and fatherless; courage and renewed strength to the widow and widower. O merciful God, we ask that you grant immediate help to those who are enduring life-changing tragedies and have suffered loss of loved ones. Stretch forth your compassionate hands of love to victims whose homes have been destroyed and they suddenly have nowhere to live. Comfort the broken hearted; provide food for the hungry and supply their every need. Father, we lift up our voices to you today because you are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. We know that without you Father, we can do absolutely nothing. Therefore we thank you Lord for hearing our prayers and for granting our petitions in the name of Jesus, Amen!
