The Bible speaks of man being good stewards of the Earth.  This means that we have been given the charge to ensure that the planet God has blessed us with is protected and preserved.  Today many of us have seen an increase in the number of portable electronic devices; devices such as smart phones, tablet computers, and ultra thin laptops to name a few.  What each of these devices have in common is the fact that they all contain rare Earth metals.  Rare Earth Metals are critical to the development of many of the portable electronic devices that we all use everyday; yet they are highly toxic, and can pose  huge health risks when they come in contact with ground water.  Many of us simply throw unwanted electronic devices away in the trash, and we never give a second thought to the fact that the devices will end up in a land fill where they can possibly come in contact with ground water.

For your convenience we have placed two battery and cell phone disposal boxes both in the vestibule of the church, and in the Fellowship hall.  Please dispose of your batteries and old cell phones in these boxes versus your trash or local landfill.
