Biography

Pastor Ollie W. Bolden is a native of Buckingham County, Virginia. He is one of nine brothers and sisters.

At age 17, Pastor Bolden accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal savior and followed the leading of the Lord to relocate to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In July 1966, he joined the Deliverance Evangelistic Church, under the anointed leadership of the late Benjamin Smith, Sr. At age 19, Pastor Bolden accepted the calling of the Lord upon his life to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. His first message was entitled, “Good News”.

In 1970, Pastor Bolden married the former Cynthia A. Brown. The Lord blessed them with 3 children, Michael, Curtis and Lakita.

Pastor Bolden continued to be actively involved in various church ministries, one of which was “Worship Leader”. His persistent dedication and faithfulness to the work of the Lord, afforded him the opportunity to become an accredited teacher at the Deliverance Evangelistic Church Bible Institute.

Once again, Pastor Bolden yielded to the leading of the Lord, and returned to his childhood home in Dillwyn, Virginia to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. As a result, many members of his family accepted the Lord as savior and joined the Dillwyn Holy Temple Church, of which he founded and pastored beginning in 1983.

In 1996, Pastor Bolden conducted summer revival services at the Petersville Baptist Church in New Canton, Virginia. In 1997, Pastor Bolden was installed as Pastor of the Petersville Baptist Church. Pastor Bolden conducted church services at the Petersville Baptist Church on 1st and 3rd Sundays’ and the Dillwyn Holy Temple Church on 2nd, 4th and 5th Sundays’.

In 2003, Pastor Bolden assumed full-time pastorship of the Petersville Baptist Church. As a result, Pastor Bolden appointed Elder Dyanne Liggins Pastor of the Dillwyn Holy Temple Church.

In the interim, Pastor Bolden continued his biblical studies at Liberty University.

Today the Petersville Baptist Church continues to grow spiritually as well as naturally, and is recognized as one of the most anointed churches in Buckingham County. The people have developed a genuine love for the preached Word. To God be all of the glory, honor and dominion.
